Ike Turns Mao Zedong Loose on Indo-China

leave a comment »

The United States and Russia gave in to Mao Zedong’s belligerent demands in the Indo-China conflict, knowing that 12 million people had already lost their lives as a result of communist aggression in Southeast Asia.

These concessions emboldened China and led to the Vietnam War, which cost 58,000 American lives and the lives of millions of Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians, at a cost of more than $700 billion (adjusted for inflation).

What was at stake here was the fate of a few small, Southeast Asian countries that had never known freedom.

China was already a rogue state.

ike should have told china

—  to NO to all demands

—  make reparations for all damages

—  stay out of the Southeast Asia nations or be wiped out; the nuclear option.

Appease a rogue state and what do you get?

A bigger, more evil rogue state.

Look at China today.
