Presidency in the United States

Defining and getting a great president.

Presidents’ Day Is a Joke

with 2 comments

The failures in the federal government eliminated Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays as holidays and created presidents’ day.

Partially, this was to move the holiday to Monday so everybody could have a three day weekend.

Very few presidents deserve to be honored.

One that should not be honored is u-bam-a.

The proper thing to do is go back to the old way.

In addition, create a long list of failures as president .

A real long list.

The facts no one wants to read.

Comments and referrals to this blog would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I agree! The government is really an enormous disappointment these days! What was really stunning, is when they had that bullshit shut down, but they all still got paid. Yikes! “We” all have to show up and work, to get our pay, but they had a couple of weeks (wasn’t it?) and they still got paychecks. What a scam that was!

The President’s Day “holiday” is a joke. But there are many other sad jokes here in the USA. The Jeff Daniels character Will McAvoy said it best in the opening scene of the first episode of Aaron Sorkin’s brilliant creation “The Newsroom.”

  2. We haven’t had a president worthy of celebrating in more than a quarter of a century.
