Presidency in the United States

Defining and getting a great president.

Giving Money To Afghan VIP’s

leave a comment »

The U.S. Congress has appropriated over $89 billion since 2002 for the reconstruction of Afghanistan, with more than half of the sum going to build the country’s security forces.  International donors have provided billions more.

Each year wealthy Afghans and Afghan officials are taking this money out in cash.  Estimates for this outflow range from $ 4-8 billion a year.

Instead of the money being used to re-build Afghanistan, rampant corruption has allowed various individuals to siphon off most of the donations.

The United States and many other nations are running huge budget deficits and this is one example of how the money is wasted.

This would seem to be a prime target for a spending cut.

This is just one example of waste by the u-bam-a led federal government.

The facts no one wants to read.

Comments and referrals to this blog would be greatly appreciated.
